Temuera Morrison gained recognition for his role on Shortland Street as Dr. Hone Ropata, a New Zealand actor and singer. His leading role in Once Were Warriors and its sequel, What Becomes of the Broken Hearted, earned him critical acclaim.
In addition to playing Jango Fett, Morrison also played many genetic clones, including the clone troopers and Jango’s clone son Boba in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It was he who originated the role of Jango in Attack of the Clones in 2002. During the 2004 re-release of The Empire Strikes Back, Morrison provided Boba Fett’s voice, and he portrayed Boba in The Mandalorian’s second season (2019-present) as well as its spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett (2020-present). He also appeared as a recurring character in the black ops thriller series Echo 3 in 2022.
Aside from his role as Chief Tui in Disney’s Moana (2016), Morrison also appears as the father of Arthur Curry in DCEU’s Aquaman (2018), and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023). A character that remains undisclosed will also be played by him in The Flash (2023).
