CM Bhupesh Baghel began his political Career profession from Indian Youth Congress and became individual from All India Congress Committee, Bhupesh Baghel was likewise the General Secretary, and Program Coordinator of Pradesh Congress Committee .CM Bhupesh Baghel was Selected for Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1993 interestingly from Patan, and was subsequently chosen multiple times from same seat.

CM Baghel was also named as Minister of State, Chief Minister related, Public Grievances Redressal (Independent Charge), M.P. Administration in Digvijay Singh’s bureau in December 1998 and became Minister of Transport in December 1999.

After the province of Chhattisgarh was framed in November 2000, he became individual from Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, and named as Minister, Revenue Rehabilitation, Relief Work, Public Health Mechanics under CG Governance. Cm Bhupesh Baghel again became MLA in 2003 state political race from same seat . He lost the Patan get together seat in 2008 decisions. He additionally lost Parliamentary decisions in 2009 from Raipur

He again won Patan Vidhan Sabha seat in 2013 political race, and became Member of Working Committee, Chhattisgarh Assembly.
