Shares in Havells India fell 6% on July 22 after the company reported a solid quarterly figure ending in June 2021.

The electronics company posted a 268.5 per cent annual increase (YoY) on its combined profit of Rs 235.78 crore for the June quarter of the current financial year (Q1FY22).

This was after the YoY growth by 76 per cent in total combined at Rs 2,609.97 crore in the first quarter. Last year (FY21), the June quarter was a washout due to the tight lock made by COVID-19.

Among the business units, Lloyd Consumer raised Rs 497.46 crore, showing YoY growth at 62.5 percent. Ropes was the largest business segment with a revenue of Rs 807.17 crore, reflecting YoY growth by 75 percent. Part of the consolidation of consumer electricity was revenue of Rs 576.33 crore, indicating a growth of YoY by 91 per cent.
