नई दिल्ली: Chidambaram on Illegal Indian immigrants, अमेरिका से भारतीय प्रवासियों के जबरन निर्वासन को लेकर कांग्रेस नेता पी. चिदंबरम ने गंभीर सवाल उठाए हैं। उन्होंने इस मुद्दे के दो महत्वपूर्ण पक्षों को रेखांकित किया है।
चिदंबरम ने कहा कि पहला पक्ष निर्वासितों के साथ अमानवीय व्यवहार से जुड़ा है। उन्होंने कहा, “निर्वासन मानवीय तरीके से किया जाना चाहिए। निर्वासितों को जंजीरों में बांधकर सैन्य विमान में नहीं भेजा जा सकता। यह एक निंदनीय कृत्य है।”
दूसरा पक्ष अवैध प्रवास के कारणों से संबंधित है। उन्होंने पूछा कि आखिर भारतीय नागरिक अवैध रूप से अमेरिका जाने की कोशिश क्यों कर रहे हैं? “ऐसा क्यों है कि वे भारत छोड़ना चाहते हैं? क्या उन्हें लगता है कि भारत में उनका भविष्य सुरक्षित नहीं है?”
कांग्रेस नेता ने केंद्र सरकार से यह स्पष्ट करने की मांग की कि वह इस समस्या के समाधान के लिए क्या कदम उठा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार को यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि भारतीय युवा अवैध रूप से दूसरे देशों में जाने को मजबूर न हों।
गौरतलब है कि हाल ही में अमेरिका ने सैकड़ों भारतीय नागरिकों को निर्वासित किया है, जिनमें से कई अवैध रूप से वहां पहुंचे थे। इस मुद्दे पर सरकार की प्रतिक्रिया का इंतजार किया जा रहा है।
