The Pashu Credit Card scheme has been initiated for those farmers who either have limited land or no land at all and are engaged in animal husbandry activities such as cattle, goats, buffaloes, etc. The primary goal of the government is to benefit these farmers by supporting them through the Pashu Kisan Credit Card scheme. This scheme aims to assist farmers who face financial difficulties due to either selling their livestock or being unable to afford medical treatment for their animals.

Under the Pashu Kisan Credit Card scheme, farmers who rear animals such as cows will receive ₹40,000 per cow, and those engaged in buffalo farming will receive ₹60,000 per buffalo. Farmers involved in animal husbandry can receive financial assistance of up to ₹1,60,000 from the government.

The Pashu Kisan Credit Card scheme is specifically designed for marginal and small-scale farmers who are economically disadvantaged.

Benefits of the Pashu Kisan Credit Card

Farmers can avail the following benefits under the Pashu Kisan Credit Card scheme:

  1. Farmers engaged in cow farming will receive ₹40,000 per cow as a loan.
  2. Farmers involved in buffalo farming will receive ₹60,000 per buffalo.
  3. Farmers practicing goat farming can receive ₹4,000 per goat.
  4. Similarly, farmers rearing pigs can receive ₹16,300 per year.

If you have already applied for the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), applying for the PmKisan Pashu Credit Card will not be too complicated. Both schemes are similar in many ways, with the PmKisan Pashu Credit Card scheme focusing on livestock. The required documents and application process are nearly identical for both.

To apply for the Pashu Kisan Credit Card, you can visit your nearest bank branch. At the bank, you will need to fill out an application form and provide the necessary KYC documents. Aadhar card is mandatory for KYC, and you may also be required to submit documents like a voter ID card or PAN card. The bank will guide you through the application process.
