In 2023, a fresh list of housing schemes has been unveiled under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, offering an opportunity for applicants to confirm their status.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, rural residents seeking financial assistance to build their homes can receive up to Rs 130,000.

The positive impact of this program is evident, with over 3 crore permanent homes having been constructed thus far, and the scheme continues to be active.

PM Awas Yojana latest Update

In the latest update for 2023, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana seeks to construct additional new houses, reinforcing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to providing every Indian citizen and unemployed youth with a home by 2024.

To achieve this objective, substantial funds have been allocated, with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman approving a budget of Rs 48,000 crore for the construction of 80 lakh houses in the fiscal year 2023-24.

This substantial investment is aimed at ensuring that individuals who currently dwell in slums can have the opportunity to reside in their own homes. The overarching goal of this scheme is to provide housing for all economically disadvantaged citizens by 2024.

PM Awas Yojana new list 2023

Beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana include individuals living below the poverty line who possess BPL cards or Antyodaya cards. Financial assistance is extended to help them establish permanent residences.

Application for the program can be done online through the Gram Panchayat, Municipal Corporation, or Municipality, enabling eligible individuals to access the financial support required to build their permanent homes.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has recently released the PM Awas Yojana Beneficiary List for 2023. This list is available for individuals who previously applied for the scheme and are looking to update their applications.

Those whose names are featured in this beneficiary list will soon receive financial aid to construct their homes as part of this housing initiative.
