न्यायालय ने नीट-पीजी की विशेष काउंसिलिंग कराने का आग्रह करने वाली याचिकाएं खारिज की

नयी दिल्ली, 10 जून (भाषा) उच्चतम न्यायालय ने नीट-पीजी-2021 में 1,456 सीट को भरने के लिए विशेष काउंसलिंग कराने का अनुरोध करने वाली कई याचिकाएं शुक्रवार को खारिज कर दी। अखिल भारतीय कोटा के लिए ‘स्ट्रे राउंड’ काउंसलिंग के बाद ये सीटें खाली रह गई हैं।

न्यायमूर्ति एम. आर. शाह और न्यायमूर्ति अनिरुद्ध बोस की पीठ ने कहा कि चिकित्सा शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता से समझौता नहीं किया जा सकता क्योंकि इससे जन स्वास्थ्य पर असर पड़ेगा।

शीर्ष न्यायालय ने कहा कि विशेष काउंसिलिंग न कराने का सरकार और मेडिकल काउंसिलिंग कमिटी (एमसीसी) का फैसला चिकित्सा शिक्षा और जन स्वास्थ्य के हित में है।

पीठ ने कहा, ‘‘जब भारत सरकार और एमसीसी ने काउंसिलिंग का कोई भी विशेष राउंड न कराने का सोच समझकर फैसला लिया है तो इसे मनमाना नहीं माना जा सकता।’’

स्वास्थ्य सेवा महानिदेशालय (डीजीएचएस) ने बुधवार को शीर्ष न्यायालय को बताया था कि उसने नीट-पीजी-21 के लिए चार चरणों की ऑनलाइन काउंसलिंग की है और वह विशेष काउंसलिंग कराकर 1,456 सीट को नहीं भर सकता है क्योंकि सॉफ्टवेयर बंद हो गया है।

नीट-पीजी 2021-22 परीक्षा में बैठने वाले और अखिल भारतीय कोटा (एआईक्यू) काउंसलिंग एवं राज्य कोटा काउंसलिंग के पहले और दूसरे चरण में भाग लेने वाले डॉक्टरों ने ये याचिकाएं दायर की थीं।
