PMSSS Scholarship 2023: Under the esteemed Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), students pursuing general and professional degree courses from AICTE recognized colleges in Jammu & Kashmir State will receive scholarships worth Rs. 30,000/- and Rs. 1.50 lakhs respectively. This exclusive scholarship opportunity is dedicated to students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir.

The PMSSS provides a remarkable chance for students in Jammu & Kashmir to pursue general, professional, and medical courses by availing themselves of the scholarships offered. A total of 2,070 students will be selected for general degree courses, while 2,830 students will be awarded scholarships for professional courses. Variable scholarship amounts will be granted to the deserving candidates.

Objectives

The primary objective of the PMSSS is to provide financial support in the form of scholarships to students from Jammu & Kashmir, enabling them to pursue professional, general, and medical courses. These scholarships are provided on an annual basis, fostering the educational aspirations of students in the region.

Another significant objective of the PMSSS is to offer scholarships of Rs. 30,000/- and Rs. 1,20,000/- to students from SC, ST, and SEBC communities pursuing general and professional courses. The scheme aims to cover approximately 5,000 students, with 44% reserved for students from these communities.

Beneficiary Category

The PMSSS scholarships are exclusively available to students residing in Jammu & Kashmir. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in general, professional, or medical courses approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). A total of 5,000 scholarships will be awarded to deserving students.
