Jorma Taccone: A comedian, director, actor, and writer, Jorma Christopher Taccone is from New York City. A childhood friend of Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer, he is a member of the sketch comedy troupe The Lonely Island. As his directorial debut, he co-wrote and directed SNL spinoff MacGruber in 2010.
His father is of half Italian and half Puerto Rican descent. His mother is the artistic director of Berkeley Repertory Theatre. His brother, Asa, is a member of the band Electric Guest. He attended University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated with a BA in Theater in 2000. In honor of Jorma Kaukonen, Jefferson Airplane’s famed guitarist, his father named him.
A New Yorker, Taccone lives in the city. He is married to Marielle Heller, the director of The Diary of a Teenage Girl. His brother-in-law, Nate, a musician, composed the scores for Can You Ever Forgive Me? Emily is a stand-up comedian and writer for HBO’s Barry.\
