Originally from Browning, Montana, Gladstone is of Blackfeet and Nimíipuu heritage. In addition to being a distant relative of William Gladstone, Gladstone is also a prominent figure in British politics.
She attended the University of Montana after graduating high school in the Seattle suburb of Mountlake Terrace, earning a B.F.A. in Acting/Directing and a Native American Studies minor in 2008.
She landed her acting break in 2016 when she starred as The Rancher in Kelly Reichardt’s film Certain Women, which won her both the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and Boston Society of Film Critics Awards for Best Supporting Actress. A nominee for a Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Actor as well as a nominee for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female.
Before starring as a lead in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, she played a small role in Reichardt’s First Cow.
